“Gomselmash” signed a memorandum in Zimbabwe

The Belarusian-Zimbabwean business forum started today in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. The event takes place on the eve of the state visit to the country of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

From both sides dozens of heads of ministries and departments and organizations take part in the forum. Not only on the opening day of the forum, but also on the following days of the visit, there is an opportunity to communicate in various formats, show your possibilities and visit local enterprises, hold business negotiations and, of course, sign memorandums, agreements and contracts.

Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Pyotr Parkhomchik noted that both sides have already done a great work to develop cooperation.

«Belarus is fullfledged participates in the modernization of agriculture in Zimbabwe. More than 2000 units of tractors, combines and other agricultural equipment have been delivered in three years. We receive words of gratitude from Zimbabwean farmers who are satisfied with the quality and functionality of Belarusian equipment. A number of investment projects have been launched in agriculture, mining, and industrial cooperation. And this is just the beginning of a long journey», – Vice Prime Minister is sure.

To confirm the strengthening of business connections between Belarus and Zimbabwe at the forum, General Director of OJSC “Gomselmash” Alexander Novikov and Director of “AFTRADE DMCC” Olga Shevko signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation. The document provides for the supply of 60 units of GOMSELMASH equipment to Zimbabwe in addition to previously delivered agricultural machines.

It is worth noting that a multifunctional service center and a spare parts warehouse have been created in Harare to service the supplied equipment. And representatives of “Gomselmash” and “AFTRADE DMCC” dealer centre regularly train consumers on the features of working on GOMSELMASH combine harvesters.

By the way, in 2022 Zimbabwe recorded the highest wheat harvest in 56 years, which completely provided the country with grain. A significant contribution to the harvest was made by farmers working on GOMSELMASH combine harvesters.
