Grass headers are designed for mowing seeded and natural grasses. Headers provide copying of the field relief in the longitudinal and transverse directions at a given cutting height.
Grass headers consists of a frame, a reel, a cutting unit, an auger, as well as drive and gear mechanisms. The reel consists of four spring-toothed tine arms and metal bars that are attached to holders welded to the reel shaft. The auger and reel are mounted in supports on the sides of the header and, thanks to the oval holes, allow adjustment of the installation of the reel and auger.
The header is driven from a hydraulic motor to a counter drive. From the counter drive, the rotation is transmitted by a chain transmission to the auger, and with the help of a belt drive – to the drive of the cutting unit. The reel is driven from the auger by a belt drive.
Grass headers are reliable and efficient tools for cutting grass. Their design makes it possible to achieve a high quality cut and fully meet the needs of agricultural organizations.
