Root Crop Pick-up Loader PPK-6

The PPK-6 pick-up loader is designed to collect sugar beet roots from longitudinal windrows formed by the KSN-6 sugar beet harvester, perform additional cleaning of the harvested roots to remove impurities, and load them into transport vehicles.

The PPK-6 root crop pick-up loader is designed for operation with tractors of traction class 1.4.

As the pick-up loader moves along the windrow, the pick-up conveyor collects the root crops arranged in the windrow. The front conveyor prevents the windrow from spreading and, together with the hold-down conveyor, prevents the roots from rolling off the pick-up conveyor. The roots are then transferred from the conveyor onto the rubber cushioning element of the separating rotor. As the rotor rotates, the roots are cleaned of soil and directed by a deflector onto the belt of the loading conveyor, which transfers them into a transport vehicle moving alongside the pick-up loader.
